Architectural Exhibitions Research Hub

The Architectural Exhibitions Research Hub (X-Hub) promotes architectural exhibition making as a form of high-quality research inquiry and dissemination. Established at the School of Architecture and Planning at The University of Auckland in 2019, it is a platform to experiment with ways of producing and conveying knowledge, and to collaborate with other researchers and our communities.

We have conceived, curated, and designed architectural exhibitions for international biennale and festivals; for internationally and nationally significant museum and gallery venues; and contributed to locally focussed festivals and projects as an important means of engaging with and advocating for our communities. Exhibitions are experiential and temporal events. To continue to circulate knowledge generated through exhibition making we have produced extensive publications in relation to our exhibition work, acting as editors and authors for catalogues, websites, and other published writing.
